11/3/19 is the 20th Annual Scott Mackler 5K Memorial walk/run for ALS which takes place at Temple Beth El in Newark, Delaware. Scott Mackler waged a courageous battle with ALS for well over 15 years.
Sadly, the manifestations of Lou Gehrig's disease ended his brilliant research career on November 19th, 2013. Even though Scott's compassionate spirit and humanitarian efforts are sorely missed, his philanthropic contributions to those impacted by ALS continue to live on in his absence.
The Scott A. Mackler, MD, PhD Assistive Technology Program creates access to assistive technology possible for hundreds of people with ALS in our Chapter’s region.
